党的二十届三中全会明确指出,开放是中国式现代化的鲜明标识。长期关注中国发展,现居上海的华东师范大学政治与国际关系学院教授约瑟夫·格雷戈里·马奥尼(Joseph Gregory Mahoney)对于长三角地区如何推进融合开放发展、中国政府如何便捷境外人士来华、如何以城市经济助力中国国内经济发展等话题尤为关注。对此,对外经济贸易大学国际经济研究院院长桑百川在中新网《问答中国》栏目中回应了上述问题,并作出了自己的解读。

As a foreign expert now living in Shanghai, Joseph Gregory Mahoney, professor of politics and international relations at East China Normal University said that the cohesive and open development in the Yangtze River Delta region, as well as China’s entry facilitation measures and urbanization progress are major topics to him.
Responding to these questions, Sang Baichuan, dean of Institute of International Economics at University of International Business and Economics, offered his interpretation in the latest edition of China Answers.
Professor Sang said that China will further simplify entry procedures for foreigners and increase operations of international flights to attract foreigners. He emphasized the importance of inclusive and diversified consumption channels in boosting economic growth. He added that the progress of China’s urbanization will benefit rural population and the experience from the open development in the Yangtze River Delta region will advance the country’s high-quality development.
